Well, it's not "sketchy" out that way ... as long as you stay on the right side of the tracks ... 8)

Is it gone gone? The store in the Highlands still has it's awnings and everything still inside. They just scraped the decals off the windows.

My cousin bought Carmen's Cupcakes from the Norton Commons store for my uncle's birthday party on Dec. 22nd. Can't say I was impressed- the chocolate tasted fake, for some reason. She bought Gigi's for his bday in '10, which were tasty but very rich. I will have to tell her to buy The Cupcake Shoppe next year- I assume they are still there. They are on my way to work, but I never have stopped there. Or Jamie's 14k Cupcakes. Actually, her husband's name is Jamie....we should do that for his bday...

Well Annemarie, all I can say is that they probably had waayy TOOOOO MUCH business and made so much money that they closed up and left the country for a nice, warm Caribbean island that they purchased from their mass cupcake profits.

Or they realized that the workload really wasn't what they expected it to be. Like I said before, foodservice is not for the timid or half-hearted. It is very hard, grueling and very unappreciated work. It is not for everyone. :D If it was as easy as opening a place and watching the cash roll in, then everyone would be doing it.
