El Rincon Cuban restaurant

On Preston Highway where the Chili Pot used to be. I saw a couple days ago they had opened and I had a quick lunch there today. Had the Vaca Frita, my folks had a Cuban sandwich and a chicken dish. Everything was really good, at least on par with HR! I was very surprised just how well everything was executed, even the complimentary bread and butter were really tasty. I may go back tomorrow to try something else on the menu!

Great news! This place is in my neck of the woods and was waiting for them to be open a bit to give them a try. Was very sorry to see Chili Pot leave hopefully this place will have success.

Just an update on El Rincon on Preston ...me and Hubby had lunch there today food was fine .I had the Cuban Sandwich it came with a side of sweet potato fries and I ordered a side of tostones Hubby had a dish that was chunks of pork roast with potatoes a thin sauce with sweet plantains and rice .One of the owners told us he is expecting his liquor license this week and will have his grand opening the next weekend....the place was pretty much empty except for one other table so hope things perk up.
