IMO, Seviche has the best calamari going, but Bonefish and Asiatique also do a good job.

My favorite in the city is probably Basa. Great sauce, really fresh cucumber and papaya salad, and nice light breading. It is a nice hearty portion size as well. Another great is at La Bodega. They grill whole tubes without the tentacles, and it seems to be just a touch of oil, salt and pepper for seasoning.

Agree with Asiatique and Volare . . . and, if you ask (and the restaurant isn't slammed) oftentimes Volare can do a sauteed or grilled calamari (neither breaded nor fried) that is just perfect.

Blackstone Grille ....... light and crispy. Not rubbery like a lot of places.

I would tend to agree with this point. Simply in another league as compared to the normal fried squid one often encounters.
