Chick fil a

My take on Chickfila ........

I had never been there before..... ever. I wanted to take the kids out last night, monetarily i only had one shot. We couldnt do a sit-down place, so we decided to go to the Chickfila in NA.

I had never been in one before..... so immediately noticed that it is a completely clientele from other fast food....

The actual place is much, much, much, much cleaner than what you would normally find.

The employees are very nice as well. Very helpful, very courteous, no sighs or eye-rolling when one of my ducklings spilled their drink. I went to let the manager know and was apologizing and he just smiled and said no problem, we have seen a lot worse.

i liked that they brought the food out for us, it helps with me having a few ducklings in tow.

I had never seen the company's statement....i personally like it and respect it. I'm sure that is because it is kind of how i live my life.

But would i ever go there again..... probably not. The whole time we were sitting there i am thinking, this is what people are arguing about. It was so not worth it to me. The fries that my husband has always said are great, were stale and bleh. Our chicken sandwiches were also just meh to me, kind of small, the bun got a bit soggy after being in the foil baggie. 6 bucks for a dry chicken sandwich, stale fries, and a drink.... sorry, im not rich and i dont spend crazily, but that just does not seem worth it to me. I honestly had to hold back my tears because i felt it was such a waste of hard-earned money.

The food is not normally like that at either Indiana location. The food at the NA location has always been fresh and I think their service is even better than the Clarksville one. I haven't been in a few months since going veg, but I've never had a poor experience at either one, even when they were giving me food for free via their recent promotions.

They do have customer service nailed. I just wish they had more inclusive policies.

In any case I don't eat meat anymore so I don't guess it matters unless I just want a plain salad.

Seriously?

That's a first on the board, someone almost cried because their food was so terrible. :o

Brian, you're getting really close to strike three here.

Becky, please don't feel that way. I notice Brian has been posting a lot today, and I think he may be getting an early start on the New Year. I don't want people being attacked on the forum, and I don't intend it to be a regular thing. I like the way that you put your feelings into your report, and I hate having that discouraged.

Yeah, we've never had bad food or bad service at a Chik-fil-A, it's the worldview we cannot abide.

I especialy liked this statement- it kinda paints a Rockwellesque picture that I am fond of.

But then again, I count the passing of Bob Hope as one of the darkest days of humanity...

Brian,

Robin won't say it- but I will ( and I've never said it to anyone on this Forum before) : You are being an ass.
Becky has shared multiple times that her large family is on a limited budget. I totally get it her depth of disappointment from her description- that this was a special treat for her family and it turned out very disappointing. But you poke fun at her? Really inappropriate.

Becky, I feel the same way about chick fil a. The food is not worth the high cost. I really can't justify taking my brood out for "fast food" and spending that much. Yes, they are usually very nice and the place is always clean. Unfortunately, I can't justify the price, and I have issue with their (at the corporate level) beliefs. With three growing (and eating more) boys, it's hard for me to find a place where they get filled up and my wallet doesn't get emptied.

We've found that the local Mexican places are usually pretty decent choice for us.

Deb, I don't know Becky or remember any of her posts or her struggles. I remember her coming to Fern Creek and asking for recommendations. That's pretty much it.

Given this, I don't think my surprised reaction to her almost crying would be much different than most that do not know her that read her post. Further, like everyone preaches on here, maybe she should have talked to management if it was that bad.

I don't appreciate your name calling, I just made a quick post and it was based on a what to me was a surprising reaction to to a bad dining experience, nothing more and nothing less.

Becky, I was not intending to make fun of you. I'd be glad to buy you lunch at Chick fil a if you are ever in the area to demonstrate my apologies. Personally, I like Popeye's a lot, they have the best chicken in town imo, so we could try that if you've never been to Popeye's.
