Simply Thai in Middletown

by Jason G » Tue Dec 27, 2011 4:29 pm

I had to stop at the auto parts store today and I noticed there is a Simply Thai going in next to Havana Rumba in Middletown. I saw this news buried in another thread but thought it bared repeating.

Hopefully the suburbanites will support it as well as they have Havana Rumba so we don't have to go do St. Matthews for our Thai!

Now if we can just get a Coal's out here haha...

Jason,
Any idea how far away from opening they are? I work nearby and would LOVE to be able to go for lunch.

Yep it looked like they were hard at work so hopefully soon. Also have a little deck area which will be nice in the summer for consumption of beer and spicy food.

I will brag a bit- my daughter (who hopes to get in art school next year) has been a hostess in St Matthews. She is doing the interior murals for the new place. It's a great space and I am sure it will be a hit. I am also lucky that I get leftovers from my daughter a lot, although her spice level is getting higher!

Heard that one of the owner's sons (who is currently a chef) is opening the branch.

Cannot top Linda's insider information but we went to Havana Rumba for lunch today. Lots of, we assumed, family and friends in traditional Thai garb at Simply Thai. It wasn't open at lunch time but I guess it supports Linda's insider information. Thanks Linda.

My little insider finished her painting job, but said she didn't think the "open" sign would go up immediately. ;-)

Talk about timing, we went to Jasmine last night and had a great dinner BUT would have tried Simply Thai if we had known it was open. We will go tomorrow night and post impressions afterwards.
