Just went by Selena's and they were open. They don't really have small bites as such but they have some very nice appetizers that you could munch on.

Great idea, that completely slipped my mind. I celebrated my b-day there last year. Thanks AM!

We wound up at The Silver Dollar, everyone wanted to try it. We had a party of 4 and a 30 miniute wait, which gave us plenty of time to have a few drinks at the bar. After about 35 minutes we were seated.

We had beef empanadas and fries as apps, for my dinner I ordered the texas style chili and the fried okra. I loved everything. Great flavor and portions. The only downside to our visit was the service from our waitress. She was attentive at first but after taking our appetizer/drink orders it was at least 30 minutes before she came back, someone from the kitchen dropped off our apps. Then after ordering dinner I believe she came back 3 times total, twice because we had to flag her down for more drinks. At a couple points during the night I wondered if she was purposefully ignoring us because our glasses were empty for a while. I truly think she missed out on quites a bit of $$ because it was my friend's birthday and we had planned on staying a while and trying some bourbons and cocktails but the service was so slow we decided to just go home and celebrate.

All in all it's a cool place with good food. Hopefully the service improves over time. And maybe turn the music down a touch.
