Morels food available in Stores?

by Deb Hall » Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:17 pm

Stan,

Can you let us all know when you've got food available at Rainbow Blossom and other stores? An omnivore myself, I really wanted to taste what your great food tasted like- I've heard nothing but raves.

Wishing you much success in your catering business!

Rainbow Blossom and at least some Heine Bros. Morels goodies are available at the Heine's on Frankfort Avenue, at least, and I treat myself often. They seem to be popular there. 8)

Thanks, Robin. Do they have the seitan wings? I need to venture out from my omnivore diet and try some.

Hey Deb,

We change our menu items every couple of months, but here is what we currently have to offer :

Heine Brothers (All)

Classic Not Chicken Salad (Breadworks bread)
Buffalo Not Chicken Salad Sandwich (Breadworks bread)
Philly Cheeze Steak Wrap (served hot)
Tofu Scramble Breakfast Burrito w/coconut bacon (served hot)

Rainbow Blossom (Lexington Rd, Gardiner Ln, sometimes Indiana store)

Buffalo Not Chicken Salad Sandwich (Breadworks bread)
Philly Cheeze Steak Wrap (served hot)
Tofu Scramble Breakfast Burrito w/coconut bacon (served hot)
Curried Mac & Cheeze (sold by the pound)
Not Chicken Salad (sold by the pound)

We're currently working on deli meats, a reuban sandwich and a meatball sub. Should be out around the beginning of the year.

Stan,

Thanks for this- I'll really need to check it out.

So - speaking as a non-vegan - how does one create a vegan reuben? Is it seitan with spices, and then deli-sliced? As a former NY/NJ person, I'm still struggling to understand... :D
And seriously- I know a source for some excellent Jewish Rye. PM me if you want details.

I highly recommend the Curry Mac & Cheeze...it is really yummy. I want to try the tofu scramble burrito sometime too and the Cheeze Steak Wrap.

Hey Stan! I love your food and often times go to Heine Bros. specifically to pick up something from Morel's. Will your food be at the Vint locations now that Heine/Vint have merged? I've been waiting for it to show up, but haven't seen it yet. I'm usually at the Vint location near Holiday Manor, right off the Watterson exit at Brownsboro Rd.
