My father took me out to eat for my birthday on Sunday. I suggested Hammerheads at first but they are closed on Sunday. We made the trek over to Frankfort Avenue and I'm glad I did. The food was great, atmosphere was nice, and I loved the music. I had the fried chicken livers for an appetizer. They were pretty good, the batter is light and does not hide the flavor of the livers. For the main course I had the braised short ribs with mac and cheese and collard greens as a side. All 3 were excellent. I really enjoyed the spicy collard greens. They are not over cooked mush like many I've tried in the past and had a nice spicy kick to them. The prices were were a bit high but thats about the only slight complaint I had with the place. I've heard complaints of large crowds and loud music but on a Sunday the place was pretty chill and I really enjoyed myself.
