Shoneys on Hurstborne

One by Limestone by Dorsey.

No one there when I left work yesterday afternoon or this morning.

Is it closed or just renovating? Seems like that Mcdonalds dominates the breakfast and lunch crowd.

Is that the old Applebee's, Ron? If Applebee's couldn't make it there then Shoney's trying to make a go of it there didn't make much sense. What's next on the sliding food scale? Chili's?

Ed,

One and the same.

As someone who works in Ormsby complex, think you need a high turnover lunch crowd to succeed in that store. I think it is a poor locale for a dinner place and reminds me a bit of that place off Shelbyville Rd where Garretts and the Cajun place used to be.

That stretch of Hurstborne is more office based and less retail and food oriented. Still, both Mcdonalds and Limestone both seem to thrive, so what do I know?

Something along the line of Verbena Cafe or Wild Eggs would fit there. Kingfish springs to mind, as well. Hope you get something interesting!

I was over there around lunchtime a few weeks ago and I assume it was the manager was walking around with a sign for lunch specials clearly targeting the drive-thru crowd at McDonald's. I felt sorry for him but thought then "maybe you need a drive through".
