Little Bit of Seoul

All,

This place was recently mentioned in a thread. Can ya'll tell me a little bit  about it? I'd never heard of it. What happened to it?

I have a Korean client (who owns two restaurants in Korea) who was impressed by Louisville and is kicking aroung the idea of opening an authentic Korean BBQ here. Very early idea, but I'd be very interested to know what you think of the concept.

Is he talking about the type with the cook-it-yourself domed, drum like grills?

I'd enjoy that a lot!

Deb, it was pretty much a standard Korean restaurant. Lee's was already here, but it was popular for being on Frankfort Avenue and for having really good Korean food. It was pretty similar in menu to Lee's or to Koreana, and people were sorry when it closed. Interestingly, perhaps the best Korean we ever had was also on Frankfort. I think it was called Asiana ???? and was in the place that now houses Osaka. It was extremely popular and insanely good, but the owner was killed in a car accident  and that put an end to that.

Wow. I'm sorry I missed Asiana. That must've been during my Dallas years.

I had read here that a Korean restaurant was coming to St Matthews. It was to be located next to Havana Rumba?

I read that Simply Thai is locating a new place next to Havana Rumba in Middletown, but this is news. If it is in the "cursed" location at the east end of that strip, I wish them well. Well, I wish them well wherever they are, but you know what I mean ...

I looked up the thread. I don't know how to link to that but it was posted Oct 31st. Supposedly they had applied for a liquor license.

Madeline, there's little technology involved. Just select and copy the web link (URL) at the top of your browser for the page you want to link TO. Then paste that link into your post! You don't have to put any tags on it or anything.

Here's the thread. Thanks for reminding us! :)
