They sure did their research on this one....

1. I was under the impression that most of the BBC taps around the city are from the Clay and Main Brewery

2. Thats a great picture of Eileen "Ale Leen" Martin for Brownings. Sadly she is no longer their brewmaster (and has not been for several years) and works for Upland Brewing in Bloomington. I guess they could not get Brian Reymiller to pose for them.. .wait didn't they talk about him in the review?

3. The Bambi Bar? I mean seriously.... the Bambi Bar... Not a slight against the owners of that place, but I'm sure if you asked them, I doubt that being listed as one of the best beer bars is in their mission statement.

Enough ranting from me. I had many customers drop in today to get my take on the Velocity beer issue, so this has been stewing all day. As a liquor store owner, maybe I should put something together about best newspapers? Apparently I have as much right to discuss their medium as they do to write about beer.

Velocity is such a waste of trees. They have a 6th grade writing level to maintain so you get an adolescent view of beer as well.

ha! under Flanagan's Ale house, it's too funny, I will just quote it

"There are some 20 brews on tap, from Bud Light to tasty Stella Artois, plus many more selections in bottles."

WOW! From Bud light to "tasty" Stella Artois. First time I have ever seen the word tasty in front of Stella Artois. Now that is a selection! I bet the O'Sheas are not too happy with that assessment. Of the 20 beers on tap the author thought that these two awful "faux" beers were the opposite bookends of their selection.

I dont know about the BBC stuff you mentioned Todd. I heard things from unreliable sources that they are separate entities, BBC shelbyville rd and the clay brewery. I could be wrong though.

Stupid question, but is it possible that those are the two tap handles at opposite ends of the row? That would be some kind of incisive investigative beer reporting.

Ha! I would crack up if it was the opposite ends of the row. I would hate to think that this persons "taste spectrum" is such a thin line....their reporting.

For me, I feel they slighted Roger. He seems to hit all my notes with his beer alchemy. BBC is very good but Roger's beer really gets more of my attention.
