autumn gelato

by Justin Gilbert » Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:00 pm

:D Just a quick note from Gelato Gilberto to let you guys know that we are rolling out autumn-themed flavors. Some of my favorites are pumpkin pie gelato, double bourbon pear, mela verde sorbetto, and autumn vanilla.

If any of you have chance to try them, I'd love to know what you think.

Thanks! Justin

Will some of these go to Caffe Classico, Justin? That's where we most often get our Gilberto fix. :) Or Primo?

I can vouch for the bourbon pear- it was fantastic, neither the pear or the bourbon were overpowering. It's a trek to get to NC, but he makes it worthwhile.

autumn flavors at gelato gilberto

by Justin Gilbert » Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:48 pm

Good question Robin. I will talk to Michael at Primo and Tommie at CC. Michael asked specifically about fall flavors, so I would be surprised if one or two of these did not end up there.

Thanks for your interest!

Justin,

Do you have the double bourbon pear on some kind of rotation, or there all the time? I tried to get yor White Peach in the summer - a foodie friend said "it was the best thing she had EVER tasted", but I kept missing it...

The bourbon pear sounds like exactly my kind of treat!

double bourbon pear

Thanks for asking. We will be advertising a distinctive fall lineup of flavors, so to answer your question, yes we will keep this on the menu from now to at least christmas. Sorry you kept missing your fav during the summer. Although gelato is usually an impulse purchase, you are always welcome to call us and commision a flavor is there is one you particularly wish to eat. Thanks again for your interest!
