CJ's Cottage Inn review cranks down the word count

by Robin Garr » Sat Oct 13, 2007 8:09 am

Marty bestows 2 1/2 stars on Cottage Inn today, a rating that I'd consider a bit skimpy for this consistently strong contender in the budget-range, down-home niche, particularly under its new management. In the word-count niche, the CJ appears to be continuing to crank down the dining space in the "new look" Scene; the weekly report is 496 words, dropping below 500 for the first time in months. I hope this is not the start of a gradual slide back to the mini-reviews of the previous critic's tenure, but knowing Gannett's budget principles, I'm not hopeful.

Jeez, I wouldn't have thought anyone would actually want to READ it. ;)

Okay, sorry, my bad. I've fixed the link.
