Police Donuts, alias Donut Heaven

by Gayle DeM » Thu Dec 01, 2011 11:08 am

So I stopped in yesterday morning to pick up an assorted dozen for the office. One of the cake donuts was a red velvet with cream cheese frosting! Heaven! I had to stop in this morning to get another. I think I my be addicted.

Nicholas, the manager and chef, and I had a long talk about his newest entries: a rasied peanut butter donut and an unfilled long john done ala a Reese's peanut butter cup. I think the guy is a creative genius!

He also said that starting next week he will be adding Jewish deli foods/sandwiches, possibly bagels! Keep tuned; I'll be reporting on that.

Oooh, Gayle definitely let us know about the sandwich -thing. They are very close to my office; it would be fab to get a great sandwich near-by. :D

OK...Police Donuts was on Shelbyville Rd out past Juneau Dr....

then it was on National Turnpike...

Now where is it?

The only Police Donuts that I am aware is on Shelbyville Rd. close to Peking Bistro. It opened several years ago, closed for a couple of months and then reopened. Nicholas, the newish manager, is really a mover and a shaker plus a great donut maker, too!

gayle, is it still in the strip center where boone's fabric is, somewhere in the middle there?

Yes, Annemarie. It is closer to Peking City Bistro. It is next to Princess Nails and Spa.
