7 Foods So Unsafe Even Farmers Won't Eat Them

by Gayle DeM » Wed Nov 30, 2011 6:58 pm

Interesting article: http://planetgreen.discovery.com/food-health/foods-unsafe-doctors-eat.html

I'm not sure that I buy all of it. What say you?

The canned tomato thing is really the only one I don't personally follow...not saying I don't put stock in what they say about the BPA in the cans, but I can't find the Eden Organic ones for a reasonable price here and I have never seen them in glass jars.

If yiu are worried about the canned tomatoes, there are several brands that come in the foil-lined shelf-stable boxes. I read a different article on this and that's what they recommended. ( personally I don't worry about that one)

Seems the amount of BPA one would have to consume via cans to cause damage is really, really unlikely to occur.

Doesn't the acidity of the 'maters dissolve the foil, giving us all early onset Alzheimer's?

lolz

Ah, that would explain why I got it wrong...
Actually I should have said "lined"- I don't think there is actual foil involved. I know they said it was non-reactive.
