Fish Fry House now open

by Paul S » Wed Nov 30, 2011 10:05 am

Sharom's new restaurant, Fish Fry House, is now open at the old Blue Lagoon location. For those wondering how it can coexist with Zaytun... It looks like a similar menu will be offered as Sharom's Outer Loop location minus the gyros and a couple other items. Zaytun's menu remains intact.

The customers order food at the front of the restaurant. When I was there, this process seemed to catch a few of the dinnertime diners off guard. I haven't been to the Outer Loop location in a while but if memory serves this new location is slightly higher priced. Chalk it up to location.

Just as clarification.....The Fishery (St. Matthews / Middletown) has fielded calls asking if this was affiliated with them....and it is NOT! Completely independent.

I was there last Friday night. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Excellent fish sandwiches -- and the potato wedges are nice, too.

Since it's called "Sharom's" and is in a completely different part of town, this seems like a weird rumor.

It's logo...and The Fishery's are amazingly similar. The Fishery has fielded numerous calls about their "Bardstown Road" location. Coincidence? Not sure. Want to make it clear.

I know what you mean. If you just glance at the "FISH FRY" sign, your brain at first sees FISHERY... slight difference between F and E, all the other letters are the same.

We live nearby and the first person to tell me about it by name called it the Fishery.

Sharoms started as the Fishery and owned by the owners of the Fishery, St Matthews. Sold to the present owner and operated as a franchise of the Fishery for awhile. At one point changed the name to the Fishery Station.

This would account for the similar logo and the confusion of the ownership. To my knowledge they are no longer affiliated in any way.
