Sunergos. The coffee is so much better than anything else I've had that it is hard to describe. They expertly roast their beans, and perfectly craft all of their espresso based drinks. They are like monks who have dedicated their lives to making perfect coffee.

I've heard Jackson's is very good, but not tried it.

Cafe Classico has really good coffee in the european style.

Heine Bros. and Java Brewing are both good local chains.

I don't get out much so can't really say who is best. However, I was at Cumberland Brews last night and smelled coffee roasting. A new place is opening next door to CB called Ray's Monkey House and Kid Cafe

I stuck my head in the door and was greated by Nimbus Couzin. I had met Nimbus six years ago at his brewery in Tucsan. So from brewing beer to brewing coffee.

Sorry Ron, Ray's Monkey House and Cumberland Brews are smack in the middle of the Highlands.

Nimbus has been crafting the Monkey House for the better part of a year.
He just dropped by Derby City Espresso and gave me some of his Ethiopian Sidamo & Likempti beans for me to try out.

Both are light roasts which nobody really does in this town. Not Sunergos, Jackson's, Atomic, HobbKnobb or Heine Brothers.

The interior is finished and the space looks stunning!

Hopefully he'll be open by Halloween!

Stop in at DCE if you want to try his coffee as we have it on hand.

oops, when I saw "next door" in your post I assumed you meant next door to your place. I now see "CB" means Cumberland Brews. A place I know well, as I used to live a scant block away.
