I hope that headlining this as a FREE meal doesn't mislead anyone. Yes, in theory, you could go in, fill up, and walk out without paying anything. But unless you're unemployed and on the ropes, that would be a really wrong thing to do. Most people who take part in this annual event go with the intention of donating generously, substantially more than the menu price of whatever we eat.

I hope this goes without saying for most of this group, but it bears emphasizing just to make sure that coupon clippers and bargain hunters don't cut into Tran's generous move to donate the day's entire receipts to charity.

Please don't imply that us "bargain hunters and coupon clippers" would be so heartless to ruin this charity. I love my coupons and bargains but I am offended by the thought.

AnneMarie,
You are right- The article speaks for itself. Unfortunately, your subject, does not. The title for the original article was " Customer Appreciation Day at...." a very different meaning and potentially drawing a very different audience.

Unfortunately, Lots of folks only read headlines or skim -read so they are likely to misinterpret your post. I'm sure you were only trying to give publicity to this great cause. Could you consider changing it to something more in-keeping with their intent so there are no misunderstandings?

Thanks for spreading the word about this great cause!

italians are very oral. i get my point across by mouth and never by pen and paper. lol
hopefully this will rectify the situation. :)

Thanks, AnneMarie!
In my case, I definitely am about the mouth too. :D  But my Marketing experience has taught me that not everyone reads for actual meaning....
