bar with live music near economy hotel!

Hi, I am looking for somewhere to go for a night out with my husband and another couple that has live music, food and its clientele is over 35's. We usually go to a place in Jeffersonville, but have been disappointed on our last two visits. We stay in a hotel so as not to drink and drive. Downtown Lousiville would be our first option.

I'd "priceline" (name your own price) a room downtown and hit Ruby's, Rivue, or Theatre Square. I can normally get the Hyatt or Galt House for around $60.

We always reach for "Priceline"...eg. last month we did a weekend at the Marriott Arcade Plaza (4 stars) in Cleveland for $59 bucks a night. Upon arrival the hotel upgraded us to a suite, gave us a $30 drink voucher for the bar and a $30 breakfast voucher, so we pretty much stayed for damn near free.

If it were me, I'd bid downtown L'ville...3.5 stars and (mmmm...say) 55 bucks and see what happens.

Impellizzeri's downtown has live music this Wed night and Friday night.
