Ok, here's the update from a friend of the mother-in-law of one of the brothers. Got that? Bourbon Brothers is moving into the old Cafe LouLou location on Frankfort Avenue. Hurry up boys, we miss your food!

At least the curse of the old Shariats will not claim them!

Thank goodness! Please tell me they will be doing carry-out again!

I assume she's talking about the curse that, with the exception of Shariat's, a half-dozen restaurants have failed in there, most of them after only a few months in business.

Who's across the street in the smallish building that was once a Heitzman's?

Leah, that building is for lease now. It was the original Melillo's.

It was the original Melillo's.

When I worked at Allo Spiedo, I loved you guys being in that location. I was addicted to that chicken salad there for a while.

Wanted to let you know that Kentucky BBQ Company (formally known as Bourbon Brothers BBQ) has just opened in the old Cafe Lou Lou location at 1800 Frankfort Ave. Same owners and food as Bourbon Brothers BBQ. Stop in, say hello.

Excellent! Thanks for letting us know!

I wonder why they changed the name, though. They had such a good reputation with the old name. Anyway, can't wait!

Maybe people were getting them confused with Bourbon's Bistro?

I noticed last week that the building has been painted and a sign is up announcing a new coffehouse and cafe! I wish them luck!

Yes, the old Bourbon Brothers location is going to be a coffehouse. The new Kentucky BBQ Co (Formally known as Bourbon Brothers) has opened in the old Cafe Lou Lou location (1800 Frankfort Ave).

The old Cafe Lou Lou/new Bourbon Brothers is right by where Sweet Surrender is now (which used to be in the building occupied by Ray Parella's). Ray Parella's is next to the old Allo Spiedo, now Java Brewing.

OK caught my breath now...
