I Was Supposed To Go Home But...

by DustinStaggers » Fri Nov 18, 2011 3:00 am

So...

I was planning on going home to Tampa (I'm catering a wedding in Tampa I agreed to do way before I decided to move to the The Lou), but my magnetic attraction to 60 West has prevented that from happening (still catering the wedding, just by proxy).

Anyone have any good suggestions for me besides cooking a Thanksgiving meal for my employees who are from out of town.

To bad you couldn't make it home for Thanksgiving. The first one away is the toughest.

You have a generous spirit to have Thanksgiving for the other lost souls.

Dustin, I have heard great things about your culinary chops from "Amanda".

Nothing going on here, but if you are not working, and have nothing to do, I am sure that you, me, and my chef son can whip up some fine grub on Thurs. PM me if you find you have absolutely nothing else to do.

It's not glamorous, but you're welcome to come join my familly...

50+ deep, normal familly food (I don't cook,) lots of catching up with rarely spoken-to familly members. We even run alcohol-free.

Nonetheless, the hugs are free, the laughs- often, the stories- well, storied.

I don't think it would be anything you'd really feel comfortable with, or I'd have already invited you.

PS. Not so happy about the pot-shot towards the forumites, Heather, you're wearing me out with this behavior.

Dustin,
The track is a great way to spend Thanksgiving, especially if you have fellow staff members that are away from home also ( prices are reasonable and good racing ).
I can always make room on the river for fellow industry peers if you and your staff are looking for locations.

Phoenix Hill has a pretty strong post Thanksgiving bar night ( live music ) every year and Bardstown Rd up and down is pretty active for the evening if you want to get out with some libations. 8)

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up gathering some out of towners at my restaurant and we enjoyed a nice day of eating.
