More Local Farms at 60 West

by DustinStaggers » Mon Nov 14, 2011 2:25 pm

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are now purchasing our pork chops for a new Entree item from Dreamcatcher Farms and our tenderloins (finally found someone to provide me enough) from Harned Ranch Beef Co. out of New Haven.

They join FoxHollow Farm and Nord's Bakery as local establishments or farms we buy products from.

Wanted to thank Robin for the quote in the localvore article as it led Harned Ranch Beef Co. right to me.

Way to go, Robin! You've done your "local" good deed for the the week. :D

That Harned Ranch beef is good- I bet the tenderloin kicks it!

Eli Harned at Harned Ranch has been very generous to the Field to Fork Dinner the past couple of years and also his beef is very good. I for one prefer a free range "grass fed-grain finished" product as opposed to strictly grass fed. You can find me buying his beef for my personal meals almost every Saturday when the Bluegrass Christian Farmers Market is open.
I'm glad to see it on your menu. We'll have to come by soon and eat!
