Suggestions for a T-giving catered lunch at my work

by Derrick Dones » Fri Nov 11, 2011 2:12 pm

I know a similar topic is out there, I just can't find it...any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching options for an affordable Thanksgiving spread / meal for some folks at work. If any locals places would fit vthe bill, or if anyone has some suggestions, I am all ears.

Here's some general info...

looking for ham and maybe fried chicken (figure most will be having turky for thanksgiving)
date: 11-17
east end office...food needs to be delivered hot and ready to serve
about 75 people
need to keep cost to a minimum!!!
this will be "combined" with a pot luck / donations, so the caterer will not have to provide everything...I figure if we can get the basics (ham, fried chicken, dressing, green beans, mashed potatos, gravy, mac 'n cheese etc.) than employees will bring snacks, chips, drinks, desserts etc.

Thanks! DD

Have you tried the Kroger catering department? They probably don't have the best food compared to some other catering departments but I'm sure they can help you keep the costs down. Normally I would suggest Lady Fingers who is located in the east end but I'm sure their prices would be much higher.

Leah,
How many people do you need to make it worth your while? I'd like to recommend it to our office building. (Matt's had good business out here).

If it's a private party then I do impose a minimum. If it's parking at your business, I'm willing to take my chances and depend on your mad skilz at email and internal promotion.

:D Aw shucks, Mark- really appreciate the compliment. (Of course, as my job is Director of Marketing, I'd be in big trouble if that wasn't the case.... )
