CJ has nice things to say about Cafe Lou Lou

by Robin Garr » Sat Oct 06, 2007 10:56 am

Marty has nice things to say about Cafe Lou Lou today as he gets out to check out the popular eatery's relatively new St. Matthews location and reaches conclusions similar to mine in our Aug. 8 review. There's some cutback in space today; a very large picture of a salad confers a bit of the Scene "new look" on the restaurant review page at the expense of content: He's down to 544 words after several weeks of beefy reviews that in some cases came close to 700.

Cafe Lou Lou wins a double dip in Scene this week with high praise for forumite Marsha L's sorbets in a short "dish" column of food-news briefs that seem like they might have been inspired by browsing this forum. The Dish also introduces a new CJ food-writer byline, Teena Hammond Gomez, whose "Special to the CJ" byline indicates that she's a free-lancer.

Whew! Busy lunch today... but we were ready!

All worth it, too....some ladies told their server to tell me my tiramisu was "just as good as Olive Garden's!" :!:

I've actually never had OG's tiramisu (I rarely order dessert, unless it's something with a really unique flavor profile).

So, anyway, hey - I took it as a compliment. They certainly seemed to mean it as one - and that's what counts!
