Bristol Highlands offers Breeders Cup specials Nov. 4-5

The Bristol in the Highlands is offering Kentucky Proud Breeders Cup specials for this weekend. All the below are available today and tomorrow (Nov. 4-5), and I might add that they look reallly good. 8)

Appetizer

Deconstructed Beef Wellington
Puff pastry topped with a beef tenderloin, duxelle sauce bacon pâté, finished with a horseradish cream sauce ($11)

Entrees

Porterhouse
A grilled one-pound porterhouse steak with Henry Bain sauce, served with red skin mashed potatoes ($29)
From Stone Cross Farm

Lamb Loin Chops
Two pan-seared lamb loin chops topped with a shiitake mushroom syrah reduction, served on a bed of red pepper and spinach couscous with vegetables ($29)
From Four Hills Farm

Smoked Chicken
A smoked half chicken served on a bed of rice with vegetables ($19)
From Marksbury Farm Market

all of the meats above are from local farmers, vegetarian fed and are antibiotic, steroid and hormone free.


Dessert

Kentucky Woods Bourbon Barrel Cake
A moist brown sugar cake with pure maple and chocolate, topped with walnuts, chocolate and caramel bourbon icing. Finished with a Maker’s Mark infused whipped cream ($7)
