I really like the idea! Someplace new? Check out Martini Italian under local owners? Check out excellent veggie fare at Roots Heart & Soy? Support one of our regulars? Lots of ideas, but I'm all for it - it's been a while since we had an offline, and maybe a real-world get-together might build a little community and cut down on some drama.

Enthusiastic 2nd for Martini's! They have a large side room that would be perfect for our rowdy bunch.

Martini or Hearts and Soy would be awesome! Jim is a really awesome guy from what I've gotten to know of him. And Huong is the best of the best. My schedule is very flexible right now.

Jerry Zegart seems to be working with the Martini guys. I wonder if he'd be willing to help us make the connection. Jerry, you listening?

Martini's is a great idea, I went to the party last night and it was very nice... He had a great crowd of supporters. Of course Jerry was there taking lots of pictures.

I would like to remind people to support I love sushi teriyaki (we had talked about an offline there a while back). I was in yesterday for lunch and Mr. Kim was talking about how slow it has been for him. He had a couple of ladies in trying to offer him some marketing help.. I don't know what the terms of his lease are but I suggested he look at "it's all greek to me" location. I think he could do well there.

I'm personally looking forward to the annual holiday potluck! Lots of good eatin' and conversation. New faces are always welcome! :D

I would absolutely love to help organize something with Martini. Just let me know how I can help and what we'd like to experience as a group. Jim is very flexible and I know he will gladly work with us.

PS Whatever we do it has to have the Mac n Cheese. Delicious. I am going there tonight to beg for more. There was also a Chicken Dish that I am hoping to score again too.

I was worried that wasn't going to happen again this year since I hadn't seen anything posted about it yet! Do you have any more information, Dan?

Sounds like a plan! Anyone have suggestions on dates and times?

Ed and Steve P. usually work up the date and place. I just show up with chafing dishes and an appetite.

Weeknight or weekend? I prefer Sunday or Monday evening, personally, but again, I'm flexible.

Martini's - fabulous! When? Selfishly, I'd prefer not the 13-14th or 20th-21st as I'll be out of town for work.....

Sunday evenings work for me after I get back from Bardstown. Monday evenings are out. So are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I'm reluctant to propose anything for a Sun/Mon outside of the dates you're unavailable for fear of booking over the Annual Potluck, so maybe another day of the week? Are you available Tues-Thurs those weeks, Melissa? Anyone else with opinions?
