Outdoor menu boards

by Alison Hanover » Mon Oct 24, 2011 5:43 pm

I am going to need some new menu boards for next Season. Does anyone know anyone who has custom printed menu boards, listing my ice cream, shake flavors etc.

Hey Alisson,
We get our boards from SignARama. Maggie Harlow is the owner, Kenny is contact name for downtown location. They do a great job for us at Volare and highly recommend them!
Their number is (502)585-4099
Best to you!

If you deal with Sysco they will make them for you for free. :D
Although they will be paper and you'll have to get them framed or buy poster frames for them.
You should also do a good proof before they print them. The ones I had made for the snack bar at the club had a couple of mis-spellings on them I didn't catch. Bored pool mothers made a point to remind someone about them everyday.

Dan, Unfortunately, I don't deal with Sysco, only Farm Boy. However, had to laugh at the bored pool mothers bit, I am renowned for correcting spelling mistakes on signs. I still need to take a big black marker into Walmart and change the "a" in stationary to an "e", as I am pretty sure there are no parked cars in the container at Customer Service waiting to be put back in stock!!!

When I lived in DC, I'd walk by a cafe every morning whose chalk sidewalk board always read SOUP'S OF THE DAY. I'd lick my finger, delete the apostrophe, and proceed to work. After about six weeks of this, they finally caught on and started writing it correctly. :D

Antonia, if only all grammar mistakes were so easily erased, the world would be a better place. Believe me, being a stickler is more curse than blessing.

Recently seen on a community wall in a Dorm at UK ( in really big letters):

GRAMMAR SAVES LIVES!

( My 7 year old even got it- thought it was hysterical. There's still hope for our youth :D ).

I am now the proud possessor of 4 new outside menu boards courtesy of Sign A Rama, Market Street. I am very impressed with the cost and quality of my new boards and the speed with which they were executed, particularly the two that Joe picked up today. I believe they took one day to make.

I thoroughly recommend them.

Good thing the Soup Nazi never saw you or it would have been "NO SOUP FOR YOU"
