Yes, but it's not all that new ... the name (and the paint job) changed about six months ago. I had a little blurb about it in the LEO chili review back on Oct. 11, and it had been under that name for a month or two then.

Chili today, hot tamale

Good Buffet

by Doug W » Fri Mar 16, 2007 10:25 am

Their lunch buffet is really good. Mexican doesn't hold up very well to steam tables and hot lights, but they keep things fresh. They have a good variety of food and it tastes great.

Cheers,

Called Palapas to see if they happened to be open today...

Found that the phone number was disconnected! Are they closed?

It's Bourbon Bros. Barbecue now

Marie, old news, I'm afraid. Palapa has been closed for several months, the building has been re-painted again, and Bourbon Bros. Barbecue has moved across the street to take over the facility.

At lunch, it's the same old Bourbon Bros.: Excellent barbecue! At dinner, it's all that plus steaks ... I haven't been in to try it yet, but the evening menu looks serious. They also have a full bar now.
