Volare’s Tour of Italy continues! We are heading Northwest to Piedmont! Chef Josh Moore has created yet another amazing 6 course menu to match the wines of this region. Reserve your seat by calling (502) 894-4446. For 6 courses and wine, the cost is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 25 at 6:30!

Hors D’oeuvres

Carne Crudo All’Albese- beef tartar with white truffle, red onion, and caper

Bruschetta- grilled crusty bread with sundried tomato, spinach, and feta cheese

Fonduta alla Piemontese- traditional fontina cheese fondue with parmesan crostini and vegetables

Ca Rosso Arneis 2010

Antipasti

Dattero Piemontese- prosciutto wrapped dates stuffed with gorgonzola cheese and toasted pine nuts. Finished with a sauce of roasted tomatoes, honey and veal glace

Mauro Veglio Dolcetto 2010

insalate

Insalata di Lentiche- salad of lentils, pecorino, piedmontese peppers, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Finished with crispy fried calamari

Ca Rosso Arneis 2010

Agnolotti alla Piemontese- house made pasta filled with beef tenderloin, cabbage, tomatoes, mire poix and parmesan cheese. Finished with traditional sugo di carne
(northern Italian brown sauce)

Elio Altare Barbera D’Alba 2010

Vitello Marengo- cubed veal striploin seared and finished in a sauce of peppers, Portobello mushrooms, plum tomatoes, tarragon, thyme, white wine, and finished with slivers of Piemontese white truffles. Accompanied with purple potato gnocchi and rainbow Swiss chard from chef’s garden prepared alla bagna cauda (traditionally with sauce of hot garlic, anchovy, and sardines)

Traditional Piedmontese Bonet– amaretti, rum, and chocolate custard with a caramel top. Served with fresh berries and amaretti cookies
