Riverbend Winery & Baxter Station

Just wanted to send out an FYI that Riverbend Winery downtown on 10th Street has re-opened with the infamous, Rick Torres, as General Manager. Check it out. They are selling Ky. made wines and have a great menu. Rick is my brother just so everyone knows.
Also wanted to say how much we enjoyed a recent lunch at Baxter Station, where my son Sean Pidgeon is a cook. I currently live in Washington DC and was home in Louisville for a wedding and had lunch at Baxter with my Mom and a brother and sister in law who live in Maine. We all had great salads and sandwiches from the Lunch menu. Just wanted to remind everyone that Baxter is still a great place to get a great Reuben, Fish sandwich, and so much more.
There are so many great places to go out to eat in Louisville but lets not forget the ones that have been our go to places for many years and need our continued support. Keep Louisville Weird. Thanks for allowing me to put up this somewhat personal post.

Glad to see Rick over at River Bend. I always loved Alameda. Ann were you part of that wonderful restaurant?

Yes thankfully I was a player with the Alameda. So many good times and good friends. It was truly a family. Would love to have a reunion with all the folks some time. Thanks for your input.
