Van Winkle Bourbon Dinner Sept. 19 at Bourbons Bistro

by Robin Garr » Mon Sep 12, 2011 11:09 am

Van Winkle Bourbon Dinner
Monday, Sept. 19, 6 p.m.

September is National Bourbon heritage month, honoring the U.S. Congress declaration of bourbon as 'America's Native Spirit' in 1964, making it the only spirit distinctive to the United States. In celebration, and to help close the festivities in Bardstown, KY for The Kentucky Bourbon Festival, Bourbons Bistro on Frankfort Avenue will be hosting the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery for a Bourbon Dinner on September 19th at 6:00pm. The Van Winkle Family history is tied close to bourbon heritage. The Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery is home to the highest rated whiskeys in the world.

The evening will include five courses inspired by Van Winkle bourbons created by Chef Michael Crouch and will 4 bourbon tastings. To find out more about the dinner visit bourbonsbistro.com, or call 502-894-8838.

Bourbons Bistro is also happy to announce that we have just been awarded the Gold Medal for “Great Whisky Bars of the World” 2011 from Whisky Magazine and was at the top of the list for Imbibe Magazine’s 100 Best Place to Drink in the South.

Bourbons Bistro is located at 2255 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206, http://www.bourbonsbistro.com

Damn! Sounds great, love Pappy and at $55 each it sounds like a great deal too. But we have the Field-to-Fork Dinner later that week, so we are not going to be able to go... :(
