What to Order Eddie Merlot's?

by Eliza W » Wed Sep 07, 2011 9:25 pm

My husband and I were given a gift certificate to Eddie Merlot's in thanks for some community service. What should we order? Do they have aged beef? Or are the more complicated dishes worth it?

Thanks

It's a steakhouse that heavily advertises and promotes their steaks . . . order a steak!

(Annemarie is right, they do serve aged beef, tho I think it's wet aged, not dry aged) (given what I said, their fish is served in large portions, and is very fresh)

While the lobster is decent, with Clearwater Farms in town we buy & cook our own lobster for a fraction of any restaurant's pricing, and it's easy to cook (boil or steam) lobster! We cannot buy the quality of beef that restaurants can, and we don't have the ability to age it even if we could buy it, so I'd rather buy the steak than lobster.
