Marty travels to Salem, Ind. - about an hour's drive northwest of Louisville (37.5 miles from the corner of Highland and Baxter on two-lane roads) - for today's three-star review of Pig Miracle, which sounds like a pretty good barbecue joint. Personally, I love to do little road-trip reports for folks, but with the advantage of unlimited space on LouisvilleHotBytes or a mini-review in the expanded space that LEO provides for eats coverage, I don't have to use up my only once-a-week shot to do it. Anyway, the Southern Indiana hills are beautiful, and never more so than in the autumn, so that's a minor quibble. The barbecue sounds mighty good in Marty's well-turned descriptions, too, so good that the rating system almost cries out for *some* appropriate way to designate Great Barbecue with some kind of signal other than a laconic, generic three stars.
