Pumpkin Shakes

by Alison Hanover » Fri Sep 02, 2011 12:58 pm

We now have pumpkin shakes at A.J.'s. For those of you who remember our pumpkin ice cream, I am pleased to tell you that we now have pumpkin shakes. I can't do pumpkin ice cream because I only have one ice cream machine, ie chocolate and vanilla. People raved about my pumpkin ice cream, and the shakes are just as good. I will be doing these for the whole of September and October.

I had one yesterday and it was delicious! Like drinking a pumpkin pie! Thanks Alison. Now for Octoberfest you should consider Biershakes :P

I would love to try one of these! I'm not sure exactly where A.J's is though... :?

Not too far ... from an ancient HotBytes review:

A.J.’s is at 9280 Ind. 64 in Georgetown, Ind., (812) 951-1715. Head out I-64, through New Albany and up the hill, exiting at Ind. 64 for Georgetown. Turn right at the foot of the ramp (a left at that point will take you to Polly’s Freeze) and follow the highway for a couple of miles, alongside a railroad track. Just past the center of the village of Georgetown you’ll spot A.J.’s on the right.

Thanks, Robin. This would be a nice diversion on the way to West Baden Springs, which is something I've been wanting to take my mother up to, ever since they renovated it.

For some odd reason, I thought we used to pass Polly's Freeze on the way up to Huber's. We always took Paoli Pike to Scottsville Rd.

Gordon that was probably the Berry Twist on Scottsville Rd. They have moved to a new strip mall within site of the old location.

Wow. Ok, yes I was thinking of the Berry Twist, apparently. It's been a couple years since we've been up to Huber's. It's hard for me to picture the change on that corner!
