Sala Thai is OPEN

by HollyR » Fri Sep 28, 2007 7:13 pm

We were just there the night before last and surprised to see the message...so my boyfriend drove over there a few minutes ago (7 PM Friday night). He spoke to everyone there and they have no idea where this information came from, but they are NOT CLOSED. Yay!!! (Yes, I think they are "the best" Thai in town.)

Whew,

Holly

EXCELLENT! Thanks for the follow-up, Holly. I should have called them myself.

OOPS! My bad....I swear though I just drove by there the other night and there were no lights on in the windows and it looked completely wiped out.
And it was only 8:30 on a Wednesday night. I mean it looked so completely empty.

I apologize.....but I am very glad to be wrong!! I love that place!

They also have a second location downtown on Main that makes a great lunch spot.. The family took over the City Wok Buffet across the street from Jarfi's and reopened it as Sala Thai's City Wok. The Thai buffet is pretty good. It's buffet only during lunch and a dinner menu is available after 3, I think.

Well thats good and the possibility of it not being true was the reason I never posted the news or faux-news before someone said it could be closed. Did they say whether or not they were going to be closing in the next year or is that what you mean by they dont know where the info came from? Perhaps it was just a thought and the people they told it to took it literal.
Im not a food"ie", I am a food"er".
