"Gimme Back My Skillet" featuring the Free Bird Challenge

by Reagan H » Wed Aug 24, 2011 12:00 pm

Sorry if this has already been posted, but this is fun and entertaining. From Facebook

"
Are you too busy to cook? Want to see how easy it can be done? Come watch two chefs compete knife to knife to create a three course meal in under 10 minutes. Set to Lynryd Skynryd's Southern rock anthem, "Free Bird", the chefs will use Kentucky Proud ingredients and prepare a healthy meal that you can make at home.
Wednesday night the contest will feature two chefs new to the competition, Aramark Brown-Forman employee cafe chef Mat "Guitar" Shalenko vs. JCPS Healthy Food Program chef Jim "Too Tall" Whaley. Saturday night will feature the Free Bird Challenge World Championship with Brown-Forman's "Spirited Chef" Mark Williams defending his title against JCPS Chef Dan "The Man" Thomas. Come cheer on the chefs and try some samples of healthy home style food. Let the Free Bird Fly!"

No peeling or prepping is allowed. However you can open packaging, preheat pans and get water boiling. I pulled off the win back at the Idea Festival. I actually had about a minute left :D
