Need ideas for soft food diet restaurant

by Jenny H » Thu Aug 18, 2011 4:45 pm

My friend's mom is in town and she just got several teeth pulled. She is on a soft food diet. Any suggestions on restaurants they can go to tonight where she could find some good food that would work for her?

One of the best meals I had after having my wisdom teeth taken out was a grilled yellowfin tuna. It was soft enough for me to "chew" without much pain and no rough edges to irritate the sockets. If she's not a fan of seafood, I'd probably suggest somewhere that is good with veggies. Something like eggplant parm or a squash burrito is pretty easy to handle. Mitchell's and J Alexander's come to mind, but for local I'd think Seviche or Volare...both would be something she won't find anywhere else and sure to be a good meal!

There are some soft veg-and-tofu dishes at the new Roots Heart & Soy on Bardstown (former Egg Roll Machine) and Zen Garden on Frankfort. Great food, too, and kindly people serving it who'd likely bend over backward to recommend something good.
