Has anyone been here lately? We tried Tokyo restaurant and my husband LOVED the Uni! Unfortunately, Tokyo is closed on Sunday so we are looking for a new place. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sake Blue should work for you, they're good.

We tried Sake Blue last night and we were quite impressed. Mark loves Uni and has been blown away with the quality and freshness of the product at both Tokyo and Sake Blue. I was surprised to find such a restaurant tucked away behind a WalMart super center. It looks like it should be downtown.

I am still looking for a good Agedashi tofu. Most I have tried here has an odd texture to the coating.

I heart Sushi and Teriyaki on lower Brownsboro has become one of our favorite Sunday afternoon pleasures. We usually let Kim choose for us......... Omakase.

My son turned 7 on Friday, and we took a group of 11 there for an early dinner. We got there a bit before 6 and didn't have trouble getting a Hibachi table, but by the time we left around 7:30, the place was hopping.

On Friday and Saturday nights, the service seems to get in the weed quickly at times. But the food is always top notch.

We live close enough that I will often get carryout sushi and bring it home.

BTW, if you are considering taking the kids, they have the best chicken nuggets in town. Kind of an odd claim, but when you have 4 kids and the oldest is 7, chicken nuggets are a deal breaker

I couldn't agree more....LOVE that place.....thank God it's out of the way for me to go because I'd live there
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

Found it and had a lunch special there today. Way more food than I could eat. I will bring the husband next time to sample the sushi.

Where do you live?

If you go to Tokyo - and live near there - then Hanabi in Prospect (Kroger shopping center off 42) has a very broad range of wonderful food, especially good on rolls. Hiko-A-Mon in Westport Village is also good, but personally I like their dinners (especially fish dinners) better than their sushi.
