Dinner Downtown, 20 people, on a Wednesday?

by Amanda L » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:56 pm

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a place to hold a nice dinner for about 20 people, within reasonable walking distance to the Seelbach. Ideally we'd have some kind of separate space or room, but that's not a requirement. Hoping to keep it around $30-35/person, not including any alcohol.

Theatre Square Marketplace, Doc Crow's, and Z's Fusion have come mind, but I'm wondering if there are others. Not sure if all of those places have a separate space also.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Amanda,

Hello! Have you considered RIVUE Restaurant & Lounge as an option? It is located on the 25th floor of the Galt House Hotel, and within walking distance to the Seelbach. Visit the website www.RIVUE.com, they features Contemporary Cuisine and the view is breathtaking. Hope this helps!

Hi, Tatiana! Please remember, when people in the business recommend a restauarant where they have a business interest, please take care to disclose that.

Patrick O'Shea's? It's a good distance away from the area you're talking about what is the weather's nice it's not too bad.

Theater Square Marketplace has a nice side room that appears to be about the right size. I don't know for certain that they would reserve the whole room, but if your crowd would take up most of the space, I expect they would.

We were very impressed with our recent visit, and it's an easy walk from the Seelbach.

I like Doc Crow's, too, but given the walking distance and your preference for a private room, I'm thinking the Marketplace is your No. 1 choice.

Seconding the Theater Square Marketplace recommendation. Awesome place, excellent food, and the new-ish side room/bar is perfect for what you're looking for.

The Marketplace hostess told me the second floor is available for large parties. Was there Friday night. Had a great burger. There was a party of 16-20 by the fountain, in the back room. Great place for cocktails outdoors and dinner in doors esp. on a Wed.
