The Oakroom will continue its “Fun with Wine & Food” series on Friday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. The third session of the six-part series focuses on pairing wines with sweet and spicy foods.
This session will discuss how to effectively pair wines with sweet and spicy favorites while also avoiding some of the common pitfalls. Sommelier Julie DeFriend will also guide guests through an interactive wine tasting as they swirl and sip through a selection of illustrative examples.

The fourth session of the series is titled “Harvest” and identifies tips for pairing sips with the bounty of the fall season. The fourth session will take place, Friday Sept. 23. The series continues through November with seasonal topics.
