Doll's Mkt Location: Wishes for it?

by Joan J » Fri Jul 29, 2011 5:43 pm

So I will deeply, truely miss Doll's. As part of the "healing" process, I am dreaming about the perfect combination of businesses that could move into that space.

Here's my dream line up:
- Paul's market for fruits and veggies
- Lotsa Pasta with a bigger deli counter, antipasto bar and bakery
- Gemelli for wine
- A bakery... maybe a bigger Blue Dog

What's everyone else dream line up?

I certainly like all of your ideas! Of those I would definitely prefer a Lotsa Pasta or Blue Dog!

How about a place that serves great chicken sandwiches and all things chicken related, is open on Sundays, and welcomes everyone reguardless of their religous, sexual or political positions.

I didn't realize that chicken had political issues. Am I missing something?

take that a step further and how about something that I'm pretty sure we do not have here....an honest-to-God, big, bustling jewish deli? the *real* deal...a place like Katz's or Carnegie or Stage - all in NY.? a place with cheeze blintzes and lox and liverwurst, table jars of pickles, *huge* fresh-made sandwiches, brunches, etc.etc.etc. I think real deli's are going the way of the stagecoach but, gawd, I miss 'em!

My bet is Rite Aid will move into it rather than build a separate building in the back of the parking lot.
It makes more sense.
