Andrew Hutto informs me Baxter Station will be open for Sunday night dinner starting Aug. 7. Kitchen hours will be 4:30 to 9 p.m. At the same time, they will discontinue the current short Monday shift beginning Aug. 8. They may do a dry run this Sunday (Aug. 31) if a special Sunday liquor license comes through.
That is very welcome news. Baxter used to be our Sunday go-to place. Can't tell you how many times we've debated where to go on Sunday and one of us has said "gosh, I wish Baxter were still open tonight."
I just marked the calendar for dinner on August 7.
