Caramanada's cupcake shop closed

The new Highland Cleaners building on Bardstown Rd. and Edgeland Ave is supposed to have a cupcake shop. I don't know if they're related. Perhaps a relocation?

Their website seems alive and well.

The Shelbyville road location was just a bad location. It doesn't have a lot of visibility and because of Havana Rumba next door the parking is nonexistent most of the time. I don't think they did much research before selecting that location.

I believe the cupcake shop in the Highlands will be a Carmen's cupcake, and Pinkalicious yogurt shop.

Also another cupcake shop (Jamies) opening somewhere on Baxter.

Don't forget about another of the good ones The Cupcake Shoppe in St. Matthews!

I think the gourmet-cupcake trend is on its last legs, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the cupcake shops go belly-up in the next couple years.

Well, I certainly hope not the owner of The Cupcake Shoppe son is VERY ill, and will need the income
to pay hospital bills.
