Yet the government keeps giving subsidies for ethanol production which further drives up the price of corn!

[""The bacon community is outraged."]

In other news, pig farmers have noted an unusual serinity among their pig brethren as of late. Preliminary studies, although not conclusive, seem to point to a correlation between the rising price of bacon, and the subsequent frustration felt by the bacon community, and the overall calm of the pigs. The oil barons are keeping a close eye on these developments.

Happy July 4th and just take it as a joke and not a personal stab at anyone--vive the right to enjoy all foods, even bacon!

If I'm not mistaken, high fructose corn syrup also enjoys a reserved place at the corporate welfare trough.

Corn as a whole. Not just bad for the pig industry. It has reduced barley production too, which means beer prices go up.
