Johnny Brusco's NY Style Pizza - Norton Commons

After making my weekly trip to the Norton Commons farmers market, I passed the space where Big Ben Cafe was, and there is new signage up for "Johnny Brusco's - NY Style Pizza." They appear to be a few weeks from opening.
p.s. Sarah Fritchsner, formerly of the CJ food page, is the market manager at NC in addition to her other work. Its always nice to see her and she is a great culinary resource.

Seriously, doesn't anyone open anything that is not a pizza place anymore?? Surely, there are now way too many.

The kitchen will be headed by the capable hands of Chef Jim Quinter. I'm looking forward to checking it out. BTW, Draft beer will be served.

Opens Sunday, by the way Brusco = Bruce + Scott! (whoever they are) Can't wait, the place looks great, and NC is Hopping in anticipation of Homearma

Where have you had it?

Johnson City, TN and Kingsport, TN...the JC store opened when I was in college. Their pizza is awesome. Comes to you at your table so hot the cheese is practically liquid.

I think they started in Atlanta. It's a fairly small chain but still a chain.
