ChocoVine!

by Robin Garr » Fri Jun 24, 2011 5:25 pm

Whoa! I spotted this at Walgreen's and recoiled in horror, thinking it looks like a bottle of Yoo-Hoo with red wine in it. Some non-winegeek friends, though, say they actually like it, like a lighter version of Bailey's. Website at http://www.chocovine.com - has anyone actually tried this product, and if so, will you admit it?

I love the stuff!

It's flexible, has great depth of flavor and the texture can be screwed with (unlike Bailey's.)

Stupid cheap, by the way.

I've done foams, airs and builds. Majid's keeps it around just because....

PS. Oh! And it's a Cumberland Division Republic product. Jim Clayton and Co, if I am correct.

I have tried it, but didn't like it... so I started mixing it with other things. Most of my attempts failed, so I can't recommend it, personally. But Stephen D's concoctions sound a lot better than mine, so maybe I will give it a second try.

Sounds like you may have done the berry version. That one, not so much so...

Yeap, Stephen let me sample some at Majids. It was pretty good, but I think I've only drank it once since. Tastes like chocolate milk to me and would be great for brunch.

We sampled it at work about a year ago and I must say it rivals Bud Chelada as the worst liquid I've ever tasted.

lol

Side-by-side, it beats Bailey's. You kid no-one. Someone will try this stuff.. I don't care where it's produced, who does it, etc...

Seriously? A year ago?

It's a great product for the price.

Saw it for sale at SAMs Club and thought, "I've read about that somewhere"

Received it from friends as a joke...the folks in his mom's assisted living home were addicted to the stuff. Every shopping trip from the home put a serious dent in the local supply. I am on my second bottle. If you are to have a glass of red wine each evening for health purposes...wrapping it in chocolate just makes a lot of sense. I love the stuff.

Robin, you've had it in a cocktail...

The 'Turklish Tea v3.0.'

Remember?
