Raw Milk/Cow Shares

by Bill P » Fri Jun 24, 2011 9:49 am

I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my raw milk goat cheese just yet (but my farmer really *is* different), but don't think I'll be running out and buy part of a cow anytime soon.

Steve P wins! Local = horrible. Craft beer = horrible. Artisan = horrible, unless it's in the name of a place that names a pizza after you. (Apologies to Coal's - it's not your fault he loves you, it's because he's right for once!)

Sorry, everyone. I'm just overly tired of the "I'm-cooler-than-you-because-I-hate-cool-things-except-the-ones-I-like" meme.

Marsha-

Sorry you are tired. Perhaps a nappy would help.

It will probably come as no surprise to most here that I enjoy Steve's contrarian viewpoints, especially when injected with a bit of humor/irony. Sure he is a jackass on occasion, but he does not have a monopoly on that honor by any means.

Sounds like it was probably a sanitary issue.

At least with the local sourcing it's, er, localized. There's no national threat to the lives of 100's of people like those E. Coli scares with ground beef from dozens of cows all mixed together and shipped hither and yon.
