St. Louis, MO Dining

Hey all:
I am traveling to St. Louis tomorrow and staying downtown. I haven't been to St. Louis in years. Does anyone have any dining recomendations?

somewhere we have a lengthy thread on this topic. Maybe on the old site? Robin?

I'll also poke around for my notes I did on this for an article in Food & Dining Magazine.

The Hill is home to a diverse selection of Italian restaurants. At the high end Giovanni’s, Gian-Tony’s, and Charlie Gitto’s, for cheaper eats try Adriana's, Cunetto's or Gioia's deli.

For upscale dining, I love Chez Leon in the Central West End. This is the authentic French Bistro/Brasserie that is so notably lacking in Louiville. Just excellent.

Right now the hottest restaurant in town is Eleven Eleven Mississippi.

Imo's is home to St. Louis style pizza. (not for everyone, but multiple locations)

Pho Grand on south grand has great vietnamese.

Here are three good threads from the old forum, with Ron as resident expert in all of 'em.

I'm from STL...you just brought tears to my eyes. That was my single favorite dish of all time from the city. We lived in West County, but my Dad would drive me to The Hill and we always went to Charlie Gitto's.

Imo's Pizza. I lived on that stuff in college.

OK...now I am going to have to go to St. Louis again....

The Hill is awesome.

The toasted ravioli at Gitto's is delicious.
