Hi there everyone just wanted to let you know0 about some new beers on offer at DCE::
We just got a keg in of the excellent rarity (in this market) GNOMEGANG - it's a collaboration between Ommegang and Brasserie d ‘Achouffe in Belgium. Gnomegang is a rich, translucent gold, w/ a big, fluffy white head. The nose focuses on distinctive clove aromas, combined w/ yeasty fruitiness typical of Chouffe. Flavors include ripe fruit, clove, light caramel, noncloying candy sweetness, smooth maltiness, & well-balanced hopping. The finish is dry & warming lingering gracefully.
We also have a few bottles left of Brooklyn Brewery's ultra-rare BLACK OPS - an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels. Only 1000 cases are produced a year and only 4 made it to Kentucky.
We also have a couple of Sierra Nevada Beer Camp beers still available - Juniper Black Ale & California Common.
We just got Hoopla in from Boulder Brewery. This is a nice pale ale collaboration between them and Kyle Hollingsworth of the String Cheese Incident.
Also on draft right now we have Lindeman's Framboise, Goose Island Fleur, Falls City, Three Floyd's Gumballhead & Founder's Double Trouble. We also have about 50 other wonderful beers in stock by the bottle.
Our current espresso is the Liquid Amber from sweet Maria's that I roasted myself here in the shop. I'll be roasting again next week and we'll switch over to the Les Baxterizer (also from Sweet Maria's) - It'll have a balanced mouthfeel and brightness with floral, fruity and herbal notes - think sweet citrus, pineapple, malt and chocolate!
