Late Night Music : Jukebox,iPOD,Live .....

by Brand M » Mon Sep 17, 2007 9:04 am

Question for you late night prowlers. Which establishment has the best late night music? Be it Jukebox, iPOD station, overhead satelite radio, or live music.

Also, which bars have the old school jukebox's ?Not the soulless electronic new age pieces of crap. The flip pages with the CD covers and the cheesy lights on the top.

Until proven otherwise,Mag Bar has the monopoly for good late night music for me.You might have to wait an hour or so to hear your picks .though.But you won't find Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds,Velvet Underground, and Social Distortion on another juke box. Those are some of the more well known cd's on their box.

O'sheas takes request on Sunday nights "will play any song".I believe they run it through Limewire and a labtop.Very cool.

For great late night live music,Lisa's Oak Street Lounge has some great acts that are usually still playing after midnight. The Hideaway Saloon uses a variety of acts and music. They also play late, usually.Let's not forget about the Rudyard Kipling :).

I know there are countless more.Let's here 'em.

Mag Bar has the best jukebox in Louisville, but it is entirely possible to not hear your selections before you leave.

And piano bars?... Or anyway, a place with good piano?

Next to a good night dancing, there's hardly anything better than a good piano bar sort of thing.

Thanks so much for those recs.
